Why Selborne?

A personal choice, from vision to completion.

There are easier places to build. There are certainly more obvious places to build. So why Selborne?

For me, the answer is simple. It is one of those rare places where everything comes together.

The South Coast has always had something that cannot be manufactured — an extraordinary coastline, beautiful natural surroundings, space to breathe and a slower, more considered way of living. What is changing is that more people are beginning to recognise its value.

Selborne Estate adds another dimension.

Here, the freedom and beauty of the South Coast combined with the reassurance of an established secure estate, excellent facilities and a truly exceptional address. It offers something that is becoming increasingly difficult to find: space, privacy and security without sacrificing lifestyle.

I also wanted to create something deliberately small.

Rather than a large development of hundreds of homes, this project comprises just 13 residences. Each one has the opportunity to feel personal — a home that belongs to you, rather than simply another unit in a development.

And the flexibility was important to me. For some it may become a permanent home. For others a place to escape to on weekends, a secure lock-up-and-go, or a home to return to whenever life brings them back to the South Coast.

I believe the timing is right too. The South Coast is evolving. New investment, improving infrastructure and a growing appreciation for what this part of KwaZulu-Natal offers are bringing renewed attention to an area that has quietly been exceptional for years.

But I don’t believe Selborne needs to compete with anywhere else. Its appeal is its own.

  1. 01The coastline
  2. 02The space
  3. 03The estate
  4. 04The security
  5. 05The lifestyle
  6. 06The address

That is why I choose Selborne, and that is why I wanted to create these homes here.

From vision to completion, every decision has been made with the belief that a home should be more than a property — it should be a place you are genuinely glad to come home to.

The next step

Come and see it for yourself.

Arrange a walk through the estate, or ask for the plans and current availability.
